WHO WE ARE / Mission

Who We Are

At Beseen Net, we believe everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and understood. We’re creating a welcoming community for blind and partially sighted people, along with their families, friends, and carers, one that will keep growing and evolving as more people share their voices. Through lived experience, practical advice, and real conversations, we aim to make everyday life easier and more inclusive, creating a space where people can connect, learn, and feel understood.

Together, we’re building more than a community, we’re creating understanding.

Our Mission
Our Mission
To empower blind and vision-impaired individuals by creating a central platform that provides access to technology, travel support, job opportunities, community discussion, and expert guidance so they can live independently, confidently, and equally in a world not always built for them.

ABOUT

About Us

Beseen Net was created with one simple belief: that everyone deserves to be seen.

We’re a growing, community-led project that centralises resources and lived experience for people with sight loss, and opens that knowledge to anyone who wants to learn, connect, and build a more inclusive world.

We believe accessibility isn’t just about access; it’s about understanding. By sharing practical advice, creating open conversations, and encouraging collaboration, we’re working to bring together diverse communities and make life easier, fairer, and more connected for all.

As our community grows, so do we. Every new voice, story, and idea helps shape what comes next because inclusion isn’t a destination. It’s a journey we take together.

Our commitment to inclusion doesn’t stop with our community it extends to every space where accessibility can make a difference.

For Businesses & Organisations

Accessibility isn’t only about removing barriers for blind and partially sighted people; it also makes services easier, faster, and more enjoyable for every customer.

Alongside our community focus, Beseen Net welcomes opportunities to work with businesses and organisations that want to strengthen accessibility. Our vision is to help companies by reviewing their websites, apps, and customer-facing services, and by giving staff the knowledge and confidence to assist people with sight loss effectively.

Accessible websites work seamlessly with screen readers for blind users. At the same time, simpler navigation also helps less confident internet users, busy shoppers, and first-time online customers complete purchases with less frustration, reducing checkout delays and abandoned sales.

Accessibility

Why Accessibility Matters

Accessible design isn’t just good ethics; it’s good business.

Accessibility isn’t optional. It’s essential. For blind and vision-impaired people, small design choices can mean the difference between independence and exclusion.

When businesses make their services accessible, they don’t just meet standards, they open doors, reach more people, and build trust.

At Beseen Net, we believe accessibility benefits everyone. Breaking barriers creates a fairer, more inclusive world where belonging is the norm.
